6:00 AM – Arrive at East - Get Uniforms and prepare to load buses
6:10 AM - Load Buses

6:20 AM - Buses Depart for Memphis
11:00 AM - Arrive at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium in Memphis, Tennessee - Eat Lunch when we arrive. 
12:30 PM - Back at Buses and ready to dress - Don't play in the parking lot at all until the band warm up begins
1:10-1:55 PM – Band Warm Up
1:10-1:40 PM – Pit Warm Up
1:50 PM – Pit Report Time
1:50 PM – Prop Team (includes chalupas, props, mics, tarps, etc. ) – Report to your prop 
2:05 PM – Band Report Time
2:15 PM – Performance

After our performance, we will change out of uniform and into show shirts and come back in to the watch the remaining bands.  We will stay close to each other to watch groups. (Everyone must leave the buses to watch). Last, the band will sit together for awards. The Prelims awards take place at 4:45 PM.

More information will be given after awards as to what we will do next. We will meet at the buses for this information.

The end of the competition looks like this:

4:15 p.m. - EXHIBITION: Univ. of Memphis The Mighty Sound of the South
4:30 p.m. - Presentation of Awards
5:00 p.m. - Stadium Cleared
                   Dinner Break

6:30 p.m.   - Gates Open
7:00 p.m.   - National Anthem
7:30 p.m.   - First Performing Finalist Band
10:30 p.m. - Finals Competition Ends
10:45 p.m. - Finale - Presentation of Awards

Additional Information and Expectations

What you are allowed to bring.
* Your instrument under the bus
* All necessary uniform parts
     Band - band show shirt, black bibs, black shoes, black socks (long)
     Auxiliary – tights, shoes, necessary make up, gloves
*Money for lunch and dinner on Saturday (bring if necessary) 

 

Last to keep in mind. While on a school sponsored trip, all school rules will be in effect. We expect you to act as though you wish to be treated (as young adults). No loud music on the bus.  Make good choices.  After dark, couples are not allowed to sit together on the bus either. Make plans ahead of time.  Also, Public Displays of Affection will not be tolerated while on the trip. This is not a date.

We are extremely proud to lead this organization and trust that we will have zero issues with behavior at any time. We know you understand the importance of this. You represent the Belleville East Marching Lancers and will not miss opportunities to be awesome. Thank you for working so hard and for making us so proud.
